SKI AREA SKIARENA Černá hora - Jánské Lázně is situated next to accommodation Pension Martin *** (tour Resort - Ski Resort Černá hora - Sněžka). It is suitable for beginners, as well as for demanding lovers of skiing. The ski area offers everyone enough lifts and slopes with possibility if artificial snow. Totally it offers about 15 km of ski slopes and the longest slope in the Czech Republic! The skiers come back to the Penzion Martin*** right on skies! In the area of Černá hora there are usually the best snow conditions from the whole Giant Mountains! 
 
The nearest lifts are 20 meters from the pension - POMA Skisport Formanek - three mild lifts for children and beginners with ski school, now Skiarena Skiresort Černá horaut. 
 
About 50 m from the house there is 400metres long slope with POMA lift IDYLA - moderately challenging slope connected to the other slopes with chairlift Protěž and new modern 8-passenger cable car ČERNOHORSKÝ EXPRESS, other lifts and sled run in Skiarena Černá hora. In the higher part of Černá hora there is Anděl lift and at the top there are two more lifts suitable for children. 
 
Not far from Penzion Martin there are lifts Košťálka 1 and Košťálka 2 (400 meters and 500 meters long).

If You want to try other ski resorts in surrounding (Pec pod Sněžkou, Špindlerův Mlýn, Mladé Buky, Velká Úpa,..), You can take skibus from Janské Lázně. 
 
In the winter period, when the snow conditions in other resorts are not so good, Skiarena Černá hora is still operating. Usually the season starts at the beginning of November and ends after Easter. 
 
Černá hora (1299 metres) dominates the spa town of Jánské Lázně. In 1928 there was built cableway connecting the peak with Jánské Lázně. In 1981 it was replaced by more moder cable car. Today there operates the most modern cable car Černohorský expres. One column from the old cable car still exists, it was converted into a unique watch tower. It offers one of the most beautiful views of the Giant Mountains ridges. 
 
Ski areal SKIARENA Černá hora Jánské Lázně SKIARENA spa complex is situated directly next to the accommodation Pension Martin *** Jánské Lázně. All lifts and the cable car are very close to the Pension Martin *** - Sport Formanek lifts are right in front of the house, the others are connected with the house by Idyla lift. 
 
The ski area SKIARENA Černá hora Jánské Lázně is being  dynamically developed currently. It is one of five-star ski resorts in the Czech republic (others are Špindlerův Mlýn, Pec pod Sněžkou and Rokytnice). 
 
The main downhill skiing slopes in Jánské Lázně are located in southern and southeastern parts of Černá hora. Skiers can use two chair lifts and 12 ski lifts of different types and lengths. The slopes in ski area belong to the longest in the Czech Republic, reaching up to 3.5 km. 
 
The main ski slopes are equipped with a device for the production of artificial snow. The ski slopes are suitable for skiers of all levels.
